Finding Peace in Times of Struggle

Finding Peace in Times of Struggle

In times when so much anger and pain is happening in the world, how do you manage your stress and look forward with positivity and create peace? I first want to acknowledge all of you in Ukraine and Russia and all of you in the world that may have family or feel connected in any way to the impact of what is occurring between these two countries and send my deepest love and healing to you all. This pain in the world can be so heavy and I want you all to know the feelings you are experiencing are valid. It is important to hold space for them and provide yourself space to process grief, and release any emotions around this event. Honor your individual process if watching the news or social media becomes too overwhelming, know it is okay to shut it off and give yourself a break. Please know anything you are doing to create peace within is of value and trust whatever way you choose to be of help is up to you and is enough whether this means donating funds to help the families or sitting in prayer or meditation and sending them love and healing and peace, or volunteering your time, or sharing social media post or anything in between all of these. You are doing enough.

Take steps to heal and honor yourself and your needs. This can be as simple as enjoying something delicious and wholesome that feeds your soul, or connecting with friends and family, or going on a walk to help you decompress. The bigger peace is just to do something that honors your self-care. Does your soul feel full when you meditate, connect with your loved ones, or take a healing bath and journal? Whatever it is, make space for this and know it is ok to do this. If you begin to ruminate in your fear or worry around what is happening, deep breaths and build work through this to create peace. Stay in the present as much as possible. It will not serve you to worry about something that has not happened yet. Yes, be prepared for future possibilities but ruminating on it will only cause more stress and negativity. Choose to be the light and honor this in a way that serves you. It may be hard to understand how much darkness can come into the world, but it is important to remember everything is being risen out of hiding to clear and we are working on lifting too much brighter spaces and light. Trust in the light and trust in your own inner power to rise through. Be the light that inspires others and begin to shift the energy around you. Always honor what you need and be gentle with yourselves as you move through this.

I believe in you all and am sending you all lots of love and blessings!
