International Pronouns Day

International Pronouns Day

Hello dear community! It is us! Team Gather and Grow OC, your friendly neighborhood therapists! Among us are folks using she/her and they/them pronouns but we also see you he/hims, want to wave hello to the ze/zirs and ze/hirs, nod our heads to the none of the aboves, and tip our hats to all you courageous beings bringing new pronouns into existence to describe more accurately your truest most perfect selves!

It’s International Pronouns Day (https://pronounsday.org/)! And while we want to bring awareness to the importance of sharing and educating about the use of correct pronouns today we also want to remind you that we should ask and respect the pronouns of those around us EVERY DAY!

So remember not to assume. Ask and listen when folks tell you who they are. Use the privilege that you have to model a practice of respect. Leave space on forms and note your solidarity in email signatures. Reminding the world that we should be honored for exactly who we are is good for all of us!
